Role Profile

The Head of Policy and Campaigns is a new role, bringing together and driving forward our policy and public affairs impact. You will be responsible for ensuring that ZSL maximises its influence on the issues that most matter to it and support the organization to become a place where the key debates are held concerning the future of the natural world. In particular, you will: ensure that ZSL has clear priorities for its policy engagement, drawing on the expertise of its conservation, science and zoo teams. Develop and run major campaigns for ZSL on key conservation and biodiversity policy issues. develop and pursue a plan for ZSL’s public policy engagement, reflecting both its corporate and policy priorities. Co-ordinate ZSL’s relations with the UK Government, Parliament, local authorities, and international bodies. You will work closely with the CEO and Executive Committee to develop the Policy strategies and campaigns, with the goal of strengthening ZSL’s leadership, influence and reputation.
