Why this could be a great role for you…. You’ll play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of our engagement with parliamentarians and stakeholders across the health and care landscape. The role is fast paced, requires working across different policy areas and being able to prioritise effectively. With no two days the same, given the high profile role the CQC has, you’ll be an important member of the Engagement Directorate, including supporting our senior team on briefings for meetings with key stakeholders including parliamentarians, NHS England, other healthcare regulators and public bodies – as well as supporting our accountability to Parliament via select committees and other forums. You’ll also liaise with our inspection colleagues on a regular basis, supporting the delivery of our communications with local MPs and other stakeholders on our regulatory activity. What you will bring… You will support the Parliamentary and Stakeholder Engagement team (made up of a Manager, 3 x Senior Advisors and an Officer) to deliver on our engagement priorities for the organisation across our wide range of stakeholders. You’ll build on your existing stakeholder engagement experience, knowledge of parliamentary processes and ability to deliver a variety of communications outputs to the organisation. We’re looking for someone who is proactive, willing to get stuck in, understand the importance of effective engagement and able to manage a varied workload. As you’ll be engaging with stakeholders on a regular basis, excellent people skills, as well as the ability to write correspondence and political analysis effectively, are a must to strengthen our relationships both externally and with colleagues across the organisation.
