Job Details

Stratford-on-Avon Conservative Association is seeking to appoint a proactive and hardworking Campaign and Office Manager. The position would suit a highly motivated individual with strong communication skills who can work independently under the supervision of the officer team. The association has an excellent record in contesting elections and we increased the majority of our Member of Parliament, Nadhim Zahawi, at the 2019 general election.

DUTIES: Build relationships with elected representatives, MPs and members. Develop effective marketing and communications including social media. Effective administration of the Association, its office, any staff and volunteers. Produce and agree a strategy plan and budget and manage its delivery. Plan and execute election campaigns, ensuring legal compliance at all times. Arrange and attend council group, executive council, management team and branch meetings (including some minute taking). Develop a voter contact programme, including telephone and canvassing. Support and encourage membership and fundraising activities.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCES NEEDED: Campaign management – successful planning and execution. Motivation – the ability to lead and motivate volunteers. Excellent IT skills – use of MS Office, Vote Source etc. Office management – accurate and efficient. Communications – ability to communicate clearly and positively with politicians of all levels, members, volunteers and association officers. Effective – the need to function independently, manage the workload and work to tight deadlines. Literature production – the ability to create and proof literature over a short time period, with attention to detail and on schedule. Positive attitude - open to continuous learning.

OTHER: The Campaign and Office Manager must possess a driving licence and be prepared to use their own vehicle for work. Time management – this is not a 9-5 position and will require an amount of evening and weekend working.
