Energy Networks Association is a not-for-profit industry body representing the companies which operate the electricity wires, gas pipes and energy system in the UK and Ireland. Our members include every major electricity and gas network operator in the UK and Ireland, independent operators, National Grid ESO and National Gas. Our affiliate membership also includes companies with an interest in energy, including Heathrow Airport and Network Rail.
Key tasks
- Devise a plan and undertake regular detailed engagement with government, the regulator, industry stakeholders and ENA's members to create a shared understanding of winter concerns and address gaps
- Devise and undertake a digital-led 'be winter ready' campaign to increase customer awareness of safety advice, working alongside ENA's Digital Communications Executive
- Project manage and contribute to the Communications Task Group work plan, which sets out actions and activities the industry will undertake to prepare for emergencies
- Ownership of ENA's Emergency Response Plan, including regular reviews, managing changes from a broad range of stake-holders, evaluating content, editing and ensuring the document is kept up to date and current
- Collaborate with others in the team to draft position papers and develop consistent messaging and communication framework on key issues/developments
- Briefing and managing a creative agency to support with winter campaign delivery
- Work with ENA's resilience team to ensure plans are aligned
- Lead a regular member and stakeholder update call, ensuring updates are provided in a timely way and calls are managed effectively
- Regularly report progress to ENA's Executive Committee and to members
