We are looking for an experienced and capable individual with a track record of campaign success to lead our Policy & Campaigns team. They will be an excellent communicator and leader, able to inspire campaigners and policy makers to support our campaigns and to motivate and support colleagues to achieve success. They will be driven by a desire to change the status quo, which currently leads to far too many people with eating disorders not getting the treatment they need.

Since our campaigns team was established in 2016, it has grown in reputation and impact, leading to several policy changes across the UK as a result of our work. The Policy and Campaigns Team also consists of a Policy Advisor, Policy and Public Affairs Officer and a Campaigns Officer and receives part-time support from our National Leads in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
Campaigning is a key part of Beat’s work to end the pain and suffering of eating disorders, and this role is critical in helping to deliver our mission. Current campaigns include those focussed on reducing the time it takes for people to receive treatment, increasing funding for eating disorders research and ensure that best practice is followed by all eating disorder services.
