Job Details

 Robert Largan MP is looking for a Diary/Stakeholder Manager to join his busy staff team in his Whaley Bridge office. The successful candidate should ideally have previous experience in a similar role.

 Key responsibilities:

  • Receiving visitors on behalf of the Member
  • Communicating effectively with both internal and external contact
  • All general administrative tasks eg. opening post, filing, record-keeping, photocopying
  • Deal with and monitor all incoming telephone and visitor enquiries, respond to emails and letters
  • Efficient data and file management, opening and dispatching mail
  • Keep records of client contact
  • Undertake photocopying, scanning and formatting of documents
  • Ensure office records are kept and an efficient filing system is in place and up to date
  • Manage the Member’s diary commitments and constituency commitments
  • Deal with any external suppliers, orders and simple queries
  • Arranging internal meetings by maintaining the shared calendar, assisting with the work of other colleagues as required and communicating appropriately with internal and external contacts
  • Adhere to data protection act principles and respect the confidentiality of data at all times
  • May liaise on behalf of member with relevant groups/personnel at Westminster and within the constituency, including liaison with outside organisations and the general public
  • Maintain positive on-going relationships with members of the public, organisations in Westminster and constituent
  • Any other duties commensurate with the post and required by the Member

 Experience required:

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to communicate with a range of people including senior officials and stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise a heavy workload, work under pressure in addition to working well as part of a team
  • Competent use of a range of IT packages
  • A knowledge of High Peak would be advantageous
  • Sensitive to the work of the Conservative Party
