Job Details

Want to start your career working with some of the world’s biggest brands?

Are you passionate about communications, politics and public affairs?

Charlesbye is looking for bright, ambitious and driven individuals looking for their first career step to apply for our annual internship.

Founded by former No10 comms chiefs Lee Cain and Lucia Hodgson, Charlesbye is a full-service strategic communications company that provides data-driven insights that shape public opinion, manage crises, enhance reputations, and move people to action.

Named a PR Week 'one to watch', we have a client roster that includes some of the world's biggest and most exciting brands from global tech giants and telecoms firms to media corporations and renewable energy companies. Our deep political and media roots have been forged inside Downing Street and tested by the cut and thrust of some of the UK's biggest political and public health campaigns.

As an Intern, you will have the opportunity to be trained by seasoned professionals who have worked at the pinnacle of politics and media. Over the course of the year, you will spend time in each of our divisions - communications, public affairs, and research - gaining invaluable insights and experience into our three main disciplines.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in drafting and editing press releases, articles, briefs and other written materials.
Media monitoring and pitching stories to journalists.
- Helping our busy PA team to plan their political engagement, whether through organising events, helping draft letters, or offering other creative ideas for how we can engage.
- Researching relevant topics and compiling briefing materials.
- Assisting in maintaining and updating contact databases.
- Providing general administrative support, including scheduling meetings, taking meeting minutes, and organising files and documents.
- Execute messagings across media and digital platforms
- Joining focus groups and assisting our research team with conducting polling.
