Shout Out UK (SOUK) is a multi-award winning education platform and creative social enterprise. Fusing education and tech with film production and animation ensures we create world-class programmes on Media & Political Literacy and high-impact Democratic Engagement campaigns.

The Position:

You will be joining our small, passionate NGO to coordinate our democratic engagement and political literacy work. Reporting directly to our Head of Programmes, you will be tasked with coordinating delivery of our democratic engagement programmes. This will involve coordinating with clients, ensuring KPIs are met within budget and on time, and delivering the educational programmes. Projects can vary from educational work (direct with young people and train the trainer), to multi-media campaigns.

The applicant needs to be motivated, interested in democratic engagement and passionate about political literacy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a wide variety of programmes across a diverse range of settings and cohorts.
  • Collect social impact data during and post-delivery.
  • Tracking project expenses and improving efficiency of output.
  • Recruit, coordinate and support schools, libraries and other settings across the UK to take on our democratic engagement & political literacy courses, workshops and projects.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with teachers, councils, 3rd sector stakeholders, and maintain our CRM.
  • Fulfil other duties as reasonably requested.
  • Occasionally travel nationally and/or internationally, if required.

Requirements:

  • Experience in campaign management
  • Experience delivering to young people and adults.
  • Confidence.
  • Good writing and speaking skills.
  • An understanding of and interest in Political Literacy and Democratic Engagement
  • Publicly impartial
  • Experience in project management
  • Ability to organise, prioritise and manage a diverse workload.
