Andrew Cooper MP is looking for a motivated and dynamic Community Engagement Officer to join his constituency team. This role offers a unique opportunity to support Andrew’s work in Mid Cheshire by engaging with residents, organising events, and addressing local concerns.

The successful candidate will be based in the constituency office but must actively represent Andrew at local events, meetings, and engagements. A full UK driving licence is required.

Key Responsibilities:
Build relationships with community groups, organisations, and leaders.
Identify key local issues and projects for Andrew to champion.
Engage with residents to understand and address concerns.
Organise constituency events, including surgeries, coffee mornings, ward meetings, and street stalls.
Attend events on behalf of Andrew, follow up on actions, and communicate with agencies.
Assist with constituency communications, including mailouts and social media content.
General office administration, GDPR compliance, and reporting on casework trends.
Person Specification:
We are looking for someone who is:

A strong communicator – confident, approachable, and empathetic in public engagement.
Organised and proactive – able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
IT proficient – familiar with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Knowledgeable about local issues and the political landscape.
Sympathetic to the aims and values of the Labour Party.
Additional Information:
This role requires flexible working, including occasional evenings and weekends, with some travel outside the constituency.
