Job Details

Juliet Campbell MP is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Parliamentary Researcher to join her team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Preparing briefing notes

- Undertaking research and analysis of data on key issues

- Assisting in drafting articles, questions, written materials, and speaking notes for parliamentary debates

- Monitoring Parliamentary and media developments

- Communicating effectively with internal and external contacts and stakeholders

- Helping to advise on policy issues

- Managing the Parliamentary diary and arranging meetings

- Liaising effectively with constituency based team members

Required Skills:

- Ability to respond well to changing priorities and new developments

- Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail

- A motivated and enthusiastic approach to a busy brief

- Awareness and understanding of national and local issues

- The ability to take initiative and self motivate

- Sympathy with Labour values and aims

Upon appointment you will be required to apply for security clearance, undertaken by the Security Vetting and Pass Office. See Members’ Staff Security Clearance page for further info. MPs generally pay staff in accordance with IPSA guidelines.
