Then this role may be for you! Chamber is a specialist political broadcaster and publisher looking for a Junior Editor to join our team. You will be heavily involved in the production of some of our most important content including our Quarterly Parliamentary Journal which is sent to all MPs, Peers, elected regional/national parliamentarians, leaders of councils, council chief executives, senior civil servants as well as other decision makers at various levels of UK Government.

You will be interacting with some of the leading figures in British politics and beyond. Our Journal has featured contributions from Rishi Sunak, Nicola Sturgeon, Lisa Nandy and leading figures from UK politics.

You will also have the opportunity to work with the team of Curia, our sister organisation. The UK’s first “do-tank”. Independent, cross-party and not-for-profit, Curia is a policy institute that turns policy into practise, hosting policy commissions that turn announcements into practical policy.

In this role you will:

  • Write insightful insight and analysis for Chamber online and print journal
  • Manage the publishing of our quarterly journal
  • Produce content for our social media accounts
  • Break stories from your own investigations
  • Organise interviews with high profile leaders in politics, public service and charity
  • Cover our events where we mix high profile leaders with experts at the sharp end
  • Build and maintain client relationships
  • Sell advertisement and advertorials in our quarterly journal

In this role you will need to be a:

  • Very strong writer
  • Write at pace
  • Good presenter
  • Good personal communication
  • Have a deep understanding and interest in UK Politics and Westminster in particular
