We are looking for a Senior External Affairs Officer to support the NMC to build and develop relationships with individuals and organisations in health and care across the UK, to strengthen our ability to regulate effectively, support professionals and influence, to improve health and care for the benefit of the public.
In this role you will play an important part in developing relationships with the UK health and care system’s stakeholders and political stakeholders, gather and share stakeholder intelligence with the organisation and use that insight to provide strategic advice to senior colleagues and support them with their engagement.
About you
- You’ll have experience of working in a stakeholder engagement role or public affairs role, delivering effective stakeholder relationship management and influencing activity to support the delivery of an organisation’s strategic objectives
- You’ll have good political judgement, critical thinking and can demonstrate the ability to horizon scan, and to analyse insight and identify opportunities and risks
- You’ll have experience of building strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- You’ll have experience of working to tight deadlines and delivering under pressure
- You’ll have a track record of using innovative approaches to communications and engagement, and will be able to show how you’ve put equality, diversity and inclusion at the heart of what you do
