The Role

Curia is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to Chair the Advisory Board of our Health, Care, and Life Sciences Research Group. As Chair, you will provide strategic oversight, guidance, and thought leadership to ensure our work remains impactful and aligned with the needs of the UK healthcare system and its global connections.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Advisory Board, fostering collaboration and ensuring a strategic focus on policy-to-practice initiatives.
• Shape the group’s research agenda, driving impactful outputs in health, care, and life sciences.
• Act as a key ambassador for Curia, enhancing the organisation’s profile across healthcare and policy networks.
• Provide high-level advice on emerging healthcare challenges and opportunities.
• Leverage your expertise and network to attract partnerships and funding opportunities for the group’s projects.
• Support the development of internal events, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities, and act as a key representative of the Advisory Board at internal events.
• Additional external parts of the role include chairing meetings, speaking at launch events and occasional media appearances, representing Curia UK.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone with:
• A background at a senior clinical or policy level in the UK healthcare system, ideally within the NHS, government, or a related organisation.
• A specialist interest in health, care, and life sciences, with proven thought leadership in these fields.
• Experience advising or leading in research, policy development, or healthcare strategy.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with stakeholders across sectors.
• A commitment to advancing innovative and actionable solutions for health and care challenges.
• Someone with previous chairing experience.
