Salary: £25,000 30 hours (spread over 5 days)

Communications officer
Content Creation & Messaging: Design and develop engaging, targeted content and messages across a range of channels to effectively communicate with constituents.
Video Production: Use video editing software to produce high-quality, informative, and engaging video content.
Social Media Management: Create platform-native social media content that aligns with the MP’s goals and resonates with constituents. Ensure the MP’s online presence meets the needs and expectations of constituents, the locality, and the MP’s objectives.

External Communications: Liaise and collaborate with external providers, suppliers, and stakeholders as needed.
Internal communications: Liaise with parliamentary and constituency team and regional communications officer.
Website Management: Manage and update the MP’s website to ensure it is current, relevant, and accessible.
Constituent & Media Communication: Respond to routine correspondence and enquiries from constituents, the media, lobbyists, and pressure groups with professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity, across multiple channels (email, phone, social media, and face-to-face).
Media Mapping: Utilise a strong understanding of the local and national media landscape to craft messaging and engage effectively with media contacts.
Media Content Grid: Develop and maintain a media content grid to ensure consistent and strategic distribution of content across various platforms, planning ahead to align with key dates, events, and messaging priorities.
Producing Press Releases: Produce high-quality, engaging press releases that communicate the MP’s work and initiatives effectively to the public and the media.
Preparing content for local publications and produces quarterly constituency newsletter.
Accompanies MP to visits as required in constituency and occasionally in Westminster.
Candidate should be supportive of the aims and values of the Labour Party.
