The energy industry will play a vital role in helping the UK decarbonise - with hundreds of thousands of new jobs in the coming years, our industry will need people who understand communications, marketing, policy or have commercial or analytical skills, alongside people who can invent things and solve technical issues.

We know it can be hard to choose what to do when you begin the world of work. This placement offers a great opportunity to get a broad overview of the energy industry, raise your profile and meet with some of the most influential people in the sector. The role will help the post-holder develop their understanding of the key issues facing the energy sector, including delivering government’s low carbon objectives at lowest cost whilst ensuring security of supply.

The successful candidate will support the delivery of a variety of tasks/projects from across the policy team and will be expected to work alongside colleagues in all areas of the organisation – policy, communications and membership.
