Feeding Britain is working towards a future where no one in the UK goes hungry, and where food banks are a thing of the past.

We are recruiting a Policy and Advocacy Officer to work with the National Director on:

  • engaging with MPs and Peers on debates, written and oral questions, and legislative proposals relating to the drivers of hunger and food poverty among children and young people
  • co-designing the further development of programmes such as free school meals, Healthy Start, and school holiday provision
  • producing policy briefings and updates with the Feeding Britain network

We are also recruiting a Programme Director to oversee Feeding Britain's Good Food Scotland programme, with a focus on:

  • liaising with the Scottish Government, and Members of the Scottish Parliament, on the next steps toward ending the need for food banks and pursuing the Good Food Nation plan
  • budgetary and fundraising activity to sustain the Good Food Scotland programme
  • creating Good Food Scotland as an autonomous charity within the wider Feeding Britain network

  • Highly motivated with an ability to work well independently and as part of a small team.
  • Very confident with IT including the full Microsoft and Google packages, in particular the use of spreadsheets and shared documents.
