This role is a full-time role with flexibility for the right candidate, for an immediate start

Andrew Pakes MP is seeking an experienced and highly organised Office Manager and team leader.

This senior role will focus on day-to-day team management and the delivery of priority projects, ensuring Andrew’s Peterborough and Westminster offices operate effectively and strategically.

There is scope for flexibility to work in Andrew’s Westminster or constituency office.

Key responsibilities:

• Directly managing Andrew’s team and overseeing the HR function, including keeping accurate financial records
• Horizon scanning, anticipate what advice or action may be required; proactively identify problems and resolve them
• Ensure Andrew is accurately informed on key issues as they arise
• Overall management of Andrew’s diary commitments and delegating task to others
• Having an overview of queries coming into the office and ensuring they are dealt with timely and effectively
• Have final sign off on all relevant delegated areas from Andrew
• Oversight of casework and assisting on cases
• Identify training opportunities and ensure the office maintain and develop knowledge of relevant legislation where appropriate to carry out casework
• Overall management of Andrew’s schedule, delegating tasks to others as appropriate

There may be requirement for the role holder to work outside of the normal working hours, including attending events with Andrew as required

The candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills, excellent judgment, and experience managing teams and complex projects in a fast-paced environment. Political or parliamentary experience is desirable but not essential.
