Job Details

Ellie is seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised Constituency Support Officer to join her team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality support to constituents by responding to enquiries and progressing casework
  • Deal with large numbers of standard queries, as well as assisting on more complex cases from members of the public by phone, email, social media, or face to face
  • Support the smooth day-to-day running of the constituency office, including ad-hoc administrative tasks and data entry
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with local organisations, public bodies and community groups
  • Provide flexible support across the office and help wherever required

Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent organisation and administration skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to manage competing priorities and remain calm under pressure
  • Passionate about delivering excellent service to constituents and supporting local communities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital tools
  • Sympathetic to the aims and values of the Labour party

Upon appointment you will be required to comply with the Baseline Personnel Security Standard, undertaken by the Members’ Staff Verification Office (MSVO). See Members’ Staff Verification Office (MSVO) page for further info. MPs generally pay staff in accordance with IPSA guidelines.
