The Kent and Sussex Conservative Group is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Campaign Manager – Sussex to lead and support campaigning across:
Bexhill and Battle | Eastbourne | Hastings and Rye | Lewes
This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in strengthening Conservative campaigning across Sussex, while working as part of the wider Kent and Sussex Conservative Group – a growing professional campaigning operation supporting Conservative Associations, councillors and candidates across both counties.
Based in Paddock Wood, the successful applicant will take day-to-day responsibility for supporting our four Sussex Associations, while working closely with the Group Campaign Director and the wider Kent and Sussex team. The role will benefit from shared resources, expertise and campaign support across the Group.
This is a hands-on campaigning role. We are looking for someone equally comfortable developing campaign plans, producing literature and managing data as they are knocking on doors, organising volunteers and supporting candidates.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver campaigning across the four Sussex constituencies
Support elections and by-elections, including literature, voter contact and GOTV
Work with Associations, councillors, MPs and candidates to develop local campaign plans
Coordinate campaign sessions, action days and volunteers
Produce leaflets, letters, surveys and digital campaign content
Drive voter contact through canvassing, telephone calling and surveys
Support candidates and councillors with communications and campaign messaging
Recruit, organise and motivate activists
Work closely with colleagues across the Kent and Sussex Conservative Group
Attend campaign sessions, meetings and events, including evenings and weekends
Act as Agent during elections
About You
You will have a strong interest in politics and campaigning and be sympathetic to the aims and values of the Conservative Party.
You should be organised, proactive and confident, with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Previous political or campaigning experience is desirable, but enthusiasm, initiative and a determination to deliver results are equally important.
Due to regular travel across Sussex, a full driving licence and access to a car are essential.
