Marsha de Cordova MP is looking for a highly motivated, politically aware and skilled communications professional to join her team.

The successful candidate will play an essential role in communicating Marsha’s work to constituents across Battersea, while supporting her wider parliamentary, constituency and campaign activity.

Working closely with the team, you will coordinate and deliver media, digital and campaign communications across Westminster and Battersea, showcasing Marsha’s work and ensuring constituents are informed and engaged.

Key Responsiblities:

• Develop and deliver targeted communications and issue-based campaigns across a range of platforms.
• Monitor local, regional and national media and social media, identifying relevant issues, trends and opportunities.
• Create, edit and publish engaging digital and social media content.
• Draft press releases, statements, external communications and other written materials.
• Produce regular constituent communications, including letters, newsletters and publicity for events.
• Monitor communications performance and use data, feedback and analytics to inform future activity.
• Identify opportunities to turn local issues, constituent concerns and casework into impactful campaigns.
• Develop and deliver constituency campaigns that engage residents, community organisations and key stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with data protection legislation.

The ideal candidate will have:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a range of audiences.
• Strong experience in media, social media and/or digital communications.
• Strong digital content creation and delivery skills.
• An understanding of digital media trends, political communications and campaigning.
• Excellent research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to identify opportunities, develop creative ideas and turn them into effective communications and campaigns.
• Strong organisational and project-management skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise a demanding workload.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
