Job Details
Shaun Davies MP is looking for an enthusiastic, organised and community-minded Constituency Support Officer to join his Telford team.
This is a varied, people-facing role at the heart of Shaun’s constituency office. We want someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in helping residents and is comfortable getting out of the office and into communities across Telford.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide a high-quality service to Telford residents, responding to enquiries and helping progress casework.
* Deal confidently with a high volume of enquiries by phone, email, social media and face-to-face, while supporting colleagues with more complex cases.
* Help organise and deliver Shaun’s programme of community engagement, including surgeries, drop-ins, ward walks, community events and other opportunities to meet residents where they are.
* Build strong relationships with community groups, charities, public services, local organisations and other partners across Telford.
* Identify opportunities for Shaun and the office to engage with different communities and make sure we are hearing from people across the constituency.
* Support the smooth day-to-day running of the constituency office, including administration, record keeping and data entry.
Skills and Experience
We are looking for someone who:
* Is approachable, confident and comfortable talking to people from all walks of life.
* Has excellent organisation and administration skills and can keep on top of competing priorities.
* Has strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Enjoys building relationships and working with community organisations and local partners.
* Is passionate about providing an excellent service to residents and making a positive difference in Telford.
* Can remain calm, professional and solutions-focused when dealing with difficult or sensitive situations.
* Is confident using Microsoft Office and other digital tools.
* Is willing to work flexibly, including attending community events and engagements where required.
* Is sympathetic to the aims and values of the Labour Party.
