Office of David Smith MP are looking for a highly organised and confident individual to join an MP’s office in London, supporting the handling of policy-related casework received from constituents.

This is a Part-Time role (2 days per week) until 31st March 2026, with the possibility of being extended.

Key responsibilities:

• Draft clear, accurate and timely responses to constituents on a range of policy issues.
• Research relevant policies, legislation and government guidance.
• Ensure correspondence reflects the MP’s position and priorities.
• Manage casework efficiently, keeping accurate records and meeting deadlines.
• Liaise with relevant organisations and stakeholders where appropriate.

About you:

You will have excellent written communication and research skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to explain complex policy issues clearly. Experience of working in a political, public affairs, government or casework environment would be desirable.
