Job Details
The successful candidate be responsible for managing Andrew’s social media channels, website and producing digital content.
This role is ideal for someone with strong creative instincts and a passion for digital content creation. The candidate will have proven experience creating high impact digital content, including video content, graphic design and a strong ability to grow social media channels. The candidate must be familiar with using design programmes such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign, Captions, and FinalCut, or similar.
Main duties include, but are not limited to:
• Create high-quality, targeted content across social media, web and email such as videos and graphics.
• Manage and grow the MP’s social media channels, ensuring content is platform-native and impactful.
• Oversee content for MP's website, newsletter, letters to constituents and other communications as required.
• Assisting in other functions of the office when appropriate.
Candidates should have the following skills and qualities:
• Strong experience in a creative, communications, PR, media or political role.
• Proven ability to create compelling content across digital platforms, particularly video.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences.
• Demonstrable experience managing and growing social media accounts, including use of analytics.
• Strong understanding of the media landscape, including local and national press.
• Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Creative, proactive and ideas-driven, with a strong eye for engaging content.
• Good political judgement.
• Sympathetic to the aims and values of the Conservative Party.
