Job Details
• Work closely with Anneliese and her team to plan and implement a communications strategy, covering parliamentary activity and constituency work, with clear weekly outputs, performance indicators and evaluation.
• Produce high quality digital content, including graphics, photography and video, to promote Anneliese’s work across social media platforms and digital channels.
• Ensure clear, accurate and engaging written communications, including proactive management of e newsletters, media outputs and development of Anneliese’s website.
• Write press releases, media briefings and campaign copy, ensuring consistency of tone, accuracy and political judgement.
• Liaise proactively with journalists and media outlets, identifying opportunities to promote campaigns, parliamentary interventions and constituency work.
• Spot and develop creative communications ideas to secure media coverage and extend the reach of campaigns across digital and traditional media.
• Manage social media channels, including monitoring and moderating comments, and supporting Anneliese in responding effectively to public enquiries.
• Deliver and maintain a daily, weekly and monthly communications programme, adapting priorities at pace in response to political developments and media interest.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support Anneliese’s wider representative role, including events, visits, campaigns and constituent correspondence.
• Uphold professional standards of political communications, confidentiality and digital safety at all times.

Application Details
The successful candidate will have experience in digital communications within politics, trade unions, campaigning or a similar organisation.
They will be skilled in media relations, content creation, photography, filming and editing, with strong written communication and creative campaign development abilities.
The role requires excellent organisation, independence, flexibility and resilience, alongside a good understanding of politics, Parliament and constituency issues.
The candidate must work collaboratively within a small team and share Labour Party values.
