Salary: £27,000-30,000 per annum, in line with IPSA pay scales

This is an exciting opportunity to work for Emily Darlington Labour MP for Milton Keynes Central. Emily is an active constituency MP who aims to be accessible to everyone, and to take up and campaign on the issues and concerns of people in Milton Keynes Central.

As the Policy & Campaigns Assistant your role will be to ensure constituents get timely, accurate and clear responses to policy queries.

You will seek out opportunities to campaign and communicate with constituents on local issues and proactively send out relevant news, information, and engagement opportunities.

You will help organise Emily’s coffee mornings and other constituent-focused events to ensure she is accessible and engaged with local people.

You will also spend time with Emily when she is in Milton Keynes, meeting local groups and residents and attending events. This will include working at weekends.

  • Knowledge of casework management systems

The role is full time for a 6-month fixed term.

Upon appointment you will be required to comply with the Baseline Personnel Security Standard, undertaken by the Members’ Staff Verification Office (MSVO). See Members’ Staff Verification Office (MSVO) page for further info. MPs generally pay staff in accordance with IPSA guidelines.
