Job Details

As a Caseworker for Lee Dillon MP, you will help residents across Newbury access support, resolve problems, and ensure their concerns are heard. Working at the heart of the constituency office, you will manage a varied caseload and liaise with Government departments, local authorities, charities, and other organisations to achieve positive outcomes for constituents.

This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) based in the Newbury constituency office. Flexible working arrangements may be available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and progress constituency casework, from routine enquiries to more complex cases.
  • Respond to constituents by email, phone, social media, and in person.
  • Draft correspondence and briefings on behalf of the MP.
  • Gather information from public bodies and other organisations to help resolve cases.
  • Support constituency surgeries, meetings, and community engagement activity.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all information is handled confidentially and in accordance with data protection legislation.
  • Monitor case progress and ensure timely follow-up and resolution.

Occasional evening and weekend work may be required, including attendance at surgeries, meetings, and community events.

Successful candidates will be required to undertake Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) checks through the Members' Staff Verification Office (MSVO). Salary is in line with IPSA guidance.
