Job Details

Do you want to make a difference in your community? Would you like to work directly with Victoria Collins MP and help build a strong, winning local campaign?

The Harpenden and Berkhamsted Liberal Democrats are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and organised Campaigns Organiser to play a key role in growing our volunteer base, delivering effective campaigning and supporting our work across the constituency.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced team, helping to build on our success at the 2024 General Election and prepare for future Parliamentary and local elections.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Recruiting, training, coordinating and motivating volunteers.
  • Organising doorstep, telephone, online and leaflet delivery campaigns.
  • Leading volunteer teams and ensuring effective voter contact.
  • Producing and distributing campaign literature.
  • Developing our digital campaigning capacity.
  • Supporting campaign planning and working closely with local campaign teams and Victoria Collins MP.
  • Managing campaign data and supporting the development of local party infrastructure.

We're looking for someone with strong organisational and communication skills, a proactive, can-do attitude and the ability to work independently while motivating others. You'll need to be comfortable managing competing priorities, meeting deadlines and working in a busy campaign environment.

Experience of election campaigning, knowledge of the local area, and experience producing political literature are desirable, but enthusiasm, initiative and a willingness to learn are just as important.

You should have good digital skills, a full driving licence and access to a vehicle, given the geographical nature of the constituency. Some evening and weekend work will occasionally be required, with time off in lieu provided.
