Round Our Way is looking for a Head of Programmes to work closely with our Co-Directors. This role will hold day-to-day responsibility for managing and driving a range of core projects, , build and sustain relationships with partners and stakeholders across the climate and politics, and deputise for the Co-Directors in external meetings, coalitions and partnerships.

The role calls for someone who is both a strategic thinker and has a strong track record of delivery. We are looking for a candidate who brings the experience and credibility to represent Round Our Way at a senior level, alongside the drive and hands-on capability to take projects from conception through to completion. Strong writing, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities is essential.

We are looking for candidates who will revel in the flexibility and dynamism our small organisation provides while being prepared to roll up their sleeves. We’d love for this to be a role where someone can drive things forward but can also shape and expand the role itself, showing leadership within the organisation and externally, and creating creative opportunities for the role and for the organisation. Salary band: £50,000-£60,000

Hours: 37.5 hours per week. (ROW are very open to conversations around flexible working and desired level and pattern of working days.)

Location: The organisation is virtual so we can have staff dotted around the country. There is the budget for each staff member to use a co-working space or rent a desk in another organisation and for regular in-person meet-ups of the Round Our Way team.

Contract: This is an initial one-year role (reflecting committed funding for the post) but our expectation and intention is that this will become a permanent position.

Annual leave: 30 days and public holidays.

Pension: Employer 5% contribution, based on an employee 3% contribution..
