Julia Buckley MP and Cat Eccles MP are both looking for an exceptional Senior Communications Officer to lead and grow communications across the constituency. This is a unique opportunity to combine strategic thinking with hands-on content creation, helping connect local people with the issues, campaigns and achievements that matter most to them.

As the driving force behind the communications function, you'll:

• Develop and deliver a dynamic communications strategy across digital, print and social media channels.
• Create engaging content including videos, photography, graphics, newsletters and social media campaigns.
• Manage and grow online communities, ensuring platforms remain active, responsive and impactful.
• Monitor media coverage and emerging issues, providing advice and recommendations on relevant opportunities and risks.
• Help shape public messaging by drafting statements, newsletters, articles and, when required, press releases.
• Capture and promote constituency events, campaigns and local success stories.
• Build relationships with journalists, community organisations and key stakeholders.
• Support wider public engagement activity, helping raise awareness of parliamentary and constituency work.

Flexible working arrangements

We recognise that talented communications professionals may be looking for different working arrangements, so this position offers considerable flexibility in both hours and location.
Applicants may choose to apply for either:
• 12 hours per week, providing communications support exclusively to Julia Buckley, MP for Shrewsbury; or
• 12 hours per week, providing communications support exclusively to Cat Eccles, MP for Stourbridge; or
• 24 hours per week, comprising 12 hours of communications support for Julia Buckley MP and 12 hours of communications support for Cat Eccles MP.

The location of the role is flexible and can be agreed with the successful candidate.
