We are looking for a highly organised, curious and motivated Policy Assistant to join the Mayor's Office. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of a Mayoral Combined Authority, supporting policy development, stakeholder engagement and evidence-based decision-making.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of the Mayor's Office, you will support the work of Policy Officers and the wider Mayor's Office by providing research, analysis, briefing and coordination support across a wide range of strategic priorities.

You will help ensure that the Mayor and senior colleagues receive timely, accurate and evidence-based information to inform decision-making and support the delivery of Mayoral priorities.

Engagement and Stakeholder Officer

We are looking for an enthusiastic and politically aware Engagement and Stakeholder Officer to join the Mayor's Office and help build meaningful relationships across the region.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of a Mayoral Combined Authority, supporting engagement with local authorities, businesses, community organisations, government departments and public sector partners. You'll gain first-hand experience of devolution, public policy and regional leadership while helping to deliver the Mayor's priorities.

As Engagement and Stakeholder Officer, you will play a key role in coordinating the Mayor's engagement activity, supporting events and consultations, and helping ensure that stakeholder views and intelligence inform decision-making.
