The Co-operative Party is growing in size and influence, with its largest ever number of MPs and the first Labour and Co-operative PM. It is also a registered co-operative and a proud champion of the movement.

The General Secretary is the Chief Executive Officer of the Party and is responsible to the National Executive Committee, elected by the members, for the executive leadership of the organisation and delivery of the Party’s strategic objectives.

Joe Fortune, the current General Secretary, is leaving having increased the Party’s influence, impact and membership. The Party has big plans for the future and our values and principles have never been more relevant or needed. We are now looking for a new General Secretary to build on this success and take the Party forward working with our outstanding staff team.
