Job Details
Ben Goldsborough MP is seeking an experienced and highly organised Head of Office to oversee the effective running of his parliamentary and constituency offices. This senior role requires excellent judgement, leadership and organisational skills
Key Responsibilities
Manage and strategically prioritise the MP’s diary
Lead and manage the office team, including setting expectations and allocating work
Support recruitment, onboarding and staff training.
Manage the office budget and monitor expenditure
Oversee office systems and procedures, continually seeking improvements in efficiency.
Maintain appropriate security arrangements
Ensure sensitive and confidential information is handled appropriately and in accordance with data protection requirements.
Build effective relationships with constituents, parliamentary colleagues, public bodies and external stakeholders.
Support the MP and team in responding to emerging issues, identifying risks and opportunities
Ensure parliamentary and constituency offices are professionally organised and equipped.
Be flexible regarding occasional evening and weekend working.

Desirable Experience
Knowledge of Parliamentary systems, procedures and processes.
Experience in a political, public sector, campaigning or similarly fast-paced environment.
Experience managing and developing small teams.
Experience managing budgets and financial processes.
Experience handling confidential or high-profile matters.
Experience of stakeholder engagement and developing external relationships.
Good understanding of the British political system and the role of an MP.
