This is an exciting opportunity to join the office of Fleur Anderson MP and play a key role in supporting her work on behalf of local residents. As Administrative Officer, you will be at the centre of a fast-paced and rewarding environment, helping to ensure the smooth running of the MP's parliamentary and constituency offices while contributing to campaigns, casework and community engagement that make a real difference to people's lives.
We are looking for a highly organised, proactive and personable individual who enjoys problem-solving, thrives in a busy office environment and takes pride in delivering excellent administrative support. This role offers the chance to develop valuable experience in politics, public service and community engagement while working closely with a friendly and committed team.
Job description:
- Provide administrative support, managing the MP’s inbox and diary.
- Liaise with constituents, community groups and other local and national stakeholders.
- Database management using office software including Microsoft Office and Elected Technologies CaseWorker MP to handle administrative processes.
- Efficient data and file management to ensure the office complies with data protection legislation.
- Confidential document management, maintenance and review.
- Liaise with suppliers when required regarding office supplies and security.
Key skills and abilities:
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in using office software.
- Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.
- Experience of community engagement desirable.
- Previous experience in an administrative or office-based role is essential.
- Previous experience of working in Parliament / for an MP is desirable.
- Knowledge of the Putney, Southfields, Roehampton and Wandsworth Town Constituency desirable.
