About the role:

Rt Hon Sir Jeremy Hunt MP is looking for a creative, digitally confident and politically aware individual to work on his social media and digital communications.
The successful candidate will normally spend half a day each week with Jeremy in Westminster, capturing and creating content around his parliamentary work, with a second half day working remotely editing and producing content.


Key responsibilities:


• Film and produce engaging short-form video content, including Reels and other platform-specific content.
• Accompany Jeremy in Westminster as required to identify, film and photograph content opportunities.
• Edit video quickly and professionally, including captions, subtitles and formatting for different platforms.
• Produce high-quality graphics and other digital assets.
• Work closely with Jeremy and the wider parliamentary and constituency team to ensure digital communications support his priorities.
• Help develop Jeremy's presence on newer platforms and identify opportunities to reach audiences who may not engage with traditional political communications.


The successful candidate. We are looking for someone who:

• Has excellent social media instincts and understands what makes people stop, watch and engage.
• Has demonstrable experience creating engaging digital content.
• Is confident filming and editing short-form video.
• Can use design and editing software.
• Can work quickly and independently.
• Is sympathetic to the aims and values of the Conservative Party.


Flexibility is essential around parliamentary events or particularly significant news days as is the ability to travel with Jeremy as required.

Upon appointment you will be required to comply with the Baseline Personnel Security Standard, undertaken by the Members’ Staff Verification Office (MSVO). See Members’ Staff Verification Office (MSVO) page for further info. MPs generally pay staff in accordance with IPSA guidelines.
