Job Details
As Senior Campaigns Manager, you will lead the Campaigns team at Which? to deliver high-impact strategies that drive change for consumers. Working alongside Public Affairs and External Affairs, you will collaborate closely with policy, communications, legal, content, and supporter teams to engage key decision-makers across government and industry.In the last few months alone, our campaigning successes have included:
- Changing the law to better protect victims of bank transfer fraud.
- Securing commitment from the Government to help consumers better understand food prices and action from a major supermarket to provide more budget ranges in their small stores.
- Changes to eligibility for loyalty cards
- Legislation to require major online platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, and Google, to remove harmful content, including scams and fraud, from their websites.
- A commitment from government to legislate to stop ticket touts from fleecing fans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set and implement the strategic direction for the team including through clear delivery expectations and standards.
- Ensure Which?'s campaigning activity is delivered to a high-standard including through drafting and reviewing campaigns strategy, tactics and delivery.
- Be hungry to learn from other campaigning organisations and bring best practice back to the team.
- Lead a high performing team, including fostering an inclusive culture, supporting the development, engagement and performance of your team to deliver excellent results in line with our organisational objectives and requirements.
- Foster good relationships across the organisation and ensure the campaigns team works collaboratively with colleagues responsible for tactical delivery.
About you:
A demonstrable track record in proactively delivering campaigns to achieve change in legislation, policy, and business practice. You will need an excellent understanding of the political landscape and news context to help inform our approach and identify opportunities. You will be skilled in managing a team, to help them to deliver to a high standard, and to work collaboratively with others to ensure colleagues across the whole organisation are delivering our campaign goals. You will understand how campaigns work across the wider charitable and advocacy sector and be constantly learning new campaign techniques.
