Job Details
Do you have experience building high-level stakeholder relationships and an understanding of decision-making processes across Whitehall, Westminster and the devolved nations? Can you communicate confidently with a range of audiences and analyse complex policy issues? If so, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
You will support the delivery of the NPA's policy and public affairs work by:
Building relationships with key external stakeholders.
Supporting influencing and advocacy campaigns aligned to NPA priorities.
Engaging NPA members and promoting policy and public affairs activity.
Monitoring policy developments across government and sharing relevant intelligence.
Producing briefings and supporting engagement with politicians, civil servants and other stakeholders.
Coordinating research projects, reports, working groups and consultations.
Working collaboratively with pharmacy bodies and partner organisations.
Preparing committee papers and meeting minutes.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
An understanding of stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
Knowledge of political and policy-making processes across the UK.
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
Strong analytical, judgement and critical-thinking abilities.
Knowledge of healthcare policy and current sector issues.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital tools.
A proactive, flexible and collaborative approach.
Key Facts
Permanent, full-time role.
Hybrid working, including at least one day per week at the NPA Head Office near London.
Immediate start or short notice preferred.
