Come and join the small, dedicated team supporting the MP for Southampton Test, Satvir Kaur. The role will be based in the Southampton constituency office but there will be an occasional requirement to provide support in Satvir’s Parliamentary office.

Key responsibilities
• Assist with arrangements for events; this may include: venue research and bookings; compiling and managing guest-lists; liaising with suppliers; and providing on-the-day event support as required
• Support for projects and campaigns
• Assisting with diary management
• Opportunities to undertake casework
• Attending surgeries and other meetings and note taking to support MP
• Basic administrative support
• Learning how to analyse, evaluate and interpret data
• Undertaking appropriate research
• Drafting routine correspondence including responses to constituents
• Open, handle and action email, post and social media enquiries

Additional responsibilities
• Occasional requirement to attend meetings and events outside of usual working hours including weekends to support MP / take photographs and notes
• Any other duties commensurate with the grade of the post
