Job Details
Some of the most important work I do in Parliament begins with conversations here in Warrington South. It might be a resident looking for help, a business raising concerns about a policy issue, or a community organisation working to make a difference.
Those conversations shape the work we do, both here at home and in Westminster. Behind that work is a dedicated team helping constituents, working with local organisations, preparing parliamentary business and making sure the issues people raise are followed through.
I'm looking for two people to join my team, bringing different skills, experience and ideas to the work we do.
Whether you're helping residents with the challenges they're facing or finding creative ways to share important local stories, you'll be joining a small, hardworking team that cares about the people and communities of Warrington South.
Communications Officer
£26,500 per annum | Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
I'm looking for a talented and creative Communications Officer who can help bring Warrington South and Westminster closer together.
This is a hands-on role covering video and digital content, press and media, newsletters, parliamentary campaigns and constituency communications. You'll need strong writing and creative abilities, and an understanding of how traditional journalism and modern media work alongside each other.
Constituency Assistant
£26,039 FTE (£13,887 pro rata) | Part-time, 20 hours per week (Over 4 or 5 days)
I'm looking for a caring, organised and dependable Constituency Assistant to help support residents and the day-to-day work of my constituency office. You'll respond to enquiries, assist with casework and correspondence, and support office administration, advice surgeries, meetings and events.
Other details
Previous parliamentary experience isn't essential. I'm interested in what you can do, the ideas you bring and your ambition to develop your skills.
Applicants should have an understanding of and sympathy with the aims and values of the Labour Party.
