Job Details

Grassroot Diplomat is a diplomatic consultation group which specialises in policy and grassroots projects. By providing clients with recommendations on how to strengthen their work, better reach their target audience and build partnerships, Grassroot Diplomat aims to bridge the gap between civil society and political decision-makers. Our clients are non-government organisations, former government officials, institutions and social enterprises.

We are looking for a Public Relations and Marketing Volunteer to promote Grassroot Diplomat to potential new clients. As a PR and Marketing Officer, you will be responsible for building our press database and maintain the image and reputation of Grassroot Diplomat to potential customers and the general public. The aim is to secure new clients and partners. The principal focus of your activities will be coordinating public relations and marketing activities of the owner and company, both on a national and international level. You will be the key point of contact in dealing with media enquiries and in doing so you will be required to represent Grassroot Diplomat on a variety of challenging and sometimes sensitive issues.

This is an opportunity to really shine in a new role to generate more support and drive our brand forward. You will have close contact with the Director and senior figures within the organisation. You must be able to demonstrate a confident and mature communication style.

If you are interested, please send a short covering letter and CV. As part of the application process, please also include a one-page press release about Grassroot Diplomat and the owner. The press release must identify Grassroot Diplomat as an innovative new venture looking to represent public diplomacy. The press release must be exciting and simple, with the intention of securing interviews as part of our PR campaign.
