The Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) is an independent think tank engaged in cutting edge defence and security research. A unique institution, founded in 1831 by the Duke of Wellington, RUSI embodies nearly two centuries of forward thinking, free discussion and careful reflection on defence and security matters.
Our National Security and Resilience team is currently offering an unpaid internship. The internship is available for three months, two days a week and the successful candidate will be involved in RUSI’s programme of work on counter-terrorism and security.
Applicants should have a good knowledge of relevant literature in the field, as well as current trends in terrorist activity across the Middle East and Africa. Good data collection and analytical skills are required. The successful candidate will also have close attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills.
The internship will offer a great opportunity for an interested individual to further their knowledge in this field while contributing to the work of one of the country’s leading think tanks.
Closing Date: 6 July 2012
Interview/Start Dates
Interviews will take place the week commencing Monday 9 July.
The successful candidate will be required to start from 23 or 30 July.
