The Role
Details: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Working in the Policy, Economics, Public Affairs and Media (PEPAM) team, the Public Affairs Adviser is responsible for supporting ADS’ public affairs activities through delivering political engagement and leading on specific projects and events to further the trade association’s political reputation and goals.
Advising and updating the public affairs team, wider internal colleagues and ADS members on political developments, leading political monitoring, and managing ADS’ political engagement and contacts database.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will have previous experience within a political research or public affairs role with excellent knowledge of political processes and high awareness of the UK and EU political context.
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate an interest and understanding of key political issues affecting ADS’ sectors (aerospace, defence, security and space).
Experience of managing events and liaising with external stakeholders with knowledge of wider business or manufacturing issues.
You will have a clear and concise communication style, including proficient written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organisational skills, effective time management, and the ability to multi-task and prioritise.
