In this role you will be supporting the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) in fulfilling her statutory duties in relation to working with strategic partnerships to increase safety in our communities. This involves addressing specific themes such as serious and organised crime, road safety and anti-social behaviour. You will support the Commissioner in her victim-focussed approach to anti-social behaviour, including supporting her role as the final arbiter for Anti-social Behaviour Case Reviews. The role supports the Police and Crime Commissioner with her duty to co-operate with partners at a strategic level, including Surrey’s Community Safety Partnerships, the Health and Wellbeing Board, the Serious Organised Crime Partnership and the Community Safety Assembly, working collaboratively to develop priorities and implement plans. This includes building and developing a network of relationships and fostering effective partnerships to deliver the county-wide Community Safety Agreement. You will work closely with other portfolio leads in the Commissioner’s Office, including the Serious Violence Programme Lead, as well as the Policy and Commissioning Leads for Criminal Justice and Victim Services. You be will responsible for leading commissioning activity for the PCC’s Community Safety Fund and Children and Young People Fund, using the latter to support the Commissioner’s aspiration for children and young people to live safe and fulfilling lives. As line manager to the Partnerships and Community Safety Officer, you will give strategic direction to grant fund and oversee a wide range of projects, interventions and services to deliver the Commissioner’s Police and Crime Plan.
