We are BB Partners, an advisory for changemakers. We work with individuals and organisations to make change for important issues in the UK and beyond.

Our work shapes discourse, influences policy, builds movements and helps leaders use their reputation and power for good. From changing the conversation on online safety to analysing the culture wars and their impact on the political conversation to building a coalition of support for doctors on the frontline: we are at the forefront of political conversation and the issues that matter most.

BB Partners is looking for a political communications consultant to lead and support on a number of partner accounts focused predominantly on UK campaigning.

This person should ideally have at least 5 years of experience in communications, preferably gained in an agency environment but we are also open to an in-house, political, or NGO background. This person should be able to bring a disciplined approach to account management, a passion for media relations and a desire to contribute to the culture of a small team.

Start date: ASAP

Reports into: Senior Consultant

Seniority Level: Mid-level

Location: Hybrid set-up between central London office and working from home

Qualifications & experience:

  • A degree or equivalent.
  • 4-5 years of experience working in communications.
  • Experience working in and/or managing busy press offices ideally for not-for-profits, NGOs, government or political organisations.

The role will require you to:

  • Feed into strategy development for Partner campaigns, communications and advocacy plans
  • Build relationships with our Partners and stakeholders across politics and the media
  • Manage a team to deliver on the day-to-day running of a campaign
  • Run a press office function and regular interact with journalists
  • Develop and manage the development of content such as press releases, briefings and social media content
  • Contribute to the wider BB business through new business assignments, team management and culture
  • Project manage multiple projects in parallel
