Join us to drive change in the NHS to ensure emergency care is available for everyone when they need it the most. We are looking for a proactive Senior Policy Administrator to work in our dynamic Policy, Research, and Public Affairs team, providing vital support to our elected representatives to confront the challenges facing the NHS.

You will provide administrative support to the College’s Boards and Committees, harnessing intelligence from our doctors and nurses working in A&Es across England. Reporting to the Policy and Public Affairs Manager, you will also assist by analysing NHS Emergency Department data whilst contributing to the team's written outputs, crafting compelling briefings, consultations, evidence submissions, and reports that shape the future of the NHS.

This is an exciting and rewarding role that cuts across policy, research, and politics. This opportunity requires no prior experience of policy and is ideal for someone who has the enthusiasm and skills to start or switch to a career in policy. This role offers plenty of opportunities to grow and develop your skills in data analysis and is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills who has a passion for problem-solving and a desire to make a difference.

You will have excellent administrative skills and be adept at organising and delivering meetings. Experience of writing, carrying out research would be preferable as would practical/lived experience of the issues facing the emergency care system.

You should also have knowledge of Public Policy or Politics along with a desire to learn about Health Policy and Emergency Medicine. Experience – either in work, education, or a voluntary position – involving data analysis would be desirable.

A committed team player with a demonstrable background of collaborative working, you should have excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with stakeholders.
