Job Details
Fight for Freedom. Stand with Hong Kong. (SWHK) is looking for a proactive candidate to assist with the overall delivery with distributing engaging and captivating political content for our social media and increase awareness of our work, primarily to local and overseas Hongkongers in digestible formats. The candidate must be able to reflect the organisation’s values and voice from a Hong Kong perspective, collaborate with colleagues to develop original ideas and increase the visibility and digital presence of our campaigns.
A background in digital content creation, graphic design and marketing, and a particular interest in human rights and politics are all highly desirable to excel in this role.
Job Responsibilities
- Create social media content, including static images, for social media channels based on input from SWHK teams in the US, UK, and EU.
- Deliver digital media plans/calendars when possible.
- Contribute to the development of social media strategy.
- Translate/highlight/emphasize salient news items to the public via all channels.
Skills/Experience
- Ability to respond and adapt content based on target audience.
- In-depth knowledge of different social media platforms (i.e. X, Instagram and Facebook)
- At least 1 year of experience in digital marketing, as a social media manager or in a similar role.
- Understanding social media analytics and reporting tools or social media management is preferred.
- Excellent written communication and graphic designing skills.
- Excellent English and Cantonese proficiency.
- In-depth knowledge of Hong Kong and its current political situation.

- Possess a keen eye for detail.
- Interested in global politics. Preferable but not required.
- Familiar with social media and best practices.
