Foundations - What Works Centre for Children & Families
Foundations has recently launched as a new organisation, following a merger of two sister organisations (What Works Centre for Children’s Social Care and Early Intervention Foundation) lead by Chief Executive, Dr Jo Casebourne. With a shared aim, they are excited about the opportunities to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children by using and championing evidence. They need more highly skilled advocates of high quality evidence across a broad range of subjects in early intervention and children’s social care sector. This is an exciting time to join Foundations: they’re a new organisation with some ambitious aims and their people are essential to their success.
Roles:
The Senior Evidence Officers will lead the day-to-day delivery of work to develop and maintain the Evidence Toolkit and Practice Guides. This includes setting research questions for new synthesis work, commissioning partners to produce new evidence synthesis, overseeing programme assessment, translating synthesis findings for practice and policy. The Senior Evidence Officer will also support the Head of Evidence Synthesis to develop new tools and guidance to support this portfolio of work. These roles will also line manager Evidence Officers.
Candidates:
To be successful in this role you will need to have a good understanding of the context for family support services, excellent understanding of high quality research and outstanding communication to talk about their work to a wide range of stakeholders.
They're looking for people who are passionate about making a difference to the lives of vulnerable children and families. They want people from all backgrounds to join their team. They offer competitive salaries, respect for work-life balance, learning and development and a great office location situated in the Evidence Quarter in the heart of St James’, home to a number of like-minded research organisations.
