About Shout Out UK
We provide impartial Political and Media Literacy training and campaigns focused on democratic
engagement and combatting disinformation online, tailored to local circumstances and culture.
The Position:
You will be joining our small, passionate NGO to manage our education and digicoms teams, collectively known as ‘Output’ team. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be tasked with managing the distribution and delivery of our programmes. This will involve ensuring KPIs are met within budget and on time, and larger projects may be handled by you directly at times. Projects can vary from delivery of media literacy training in schools, podcast productions in West Africa to city-wide democratic engagement campaigns.
The applicant needs to be motivated, interested in counter-extremism and passionate about media literacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage our diverse output team and projects.
- Ensuring projects hit required KPIs on time and within budget.
- Tracking project expenses and improving efficiency of output.
- Run key projects yourself as required.
- Recruit, coordinate and support schools and teachers across the UK to take on our political and media literacy course, workshops and projects.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with teachers, councils, 3rd sector stakeholders, and maintain our CRM.
- Occasionally travel nationally and/or internationally, if required.
- Fulfil other duties as reasonably requested
Requirements:
- Experience in project management
- Confidence.
- Good writing and speaking skills.
- An understanding of and interest in media & political literacy and counter-extremism (PCVE / REMVE)
- Ability to organise, prioritise and manage a diverse workload and workforce.
