Research and Innovation Advocacy Manager

A great opportunity has risen for a Research and Innovation (R+I) Advocacy Manager in a pivotal pre-election year to help take forward our ambitious plans to triple public investment in respiratory research and innovation.

Our recent report, Making the UK a Lung Research Superpower, outlines a long-term vision for respiratory research and innovation. You will help deliver our plans to drive change by managing projects and events, developing and disseminating reports and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders such as academics, government, industry stakeholders and major public funding bodies. 

You’ll be a good team player who is also able to work independently and will have excellent project management experience. You’ll be an excellent communicator with a track record of influencing senior external stakeholders to deliver objectives on behalf of an organisation or in coalition.

Policy Officer - Taskforce

A great opportunity has arisen for a Policy Officer to join our dynamic, friendly and creative Taskforce for Lung Health team. You will be responsible for co-ordinating and delivering policy across the Taskforce project and helping to implement the final year of the Taskforce’s five-year plan for lung health.

Reporting to the Senior Policy and Project Manager, you will lead on the development of compelling evidence-based policy work and advocate for policy change in public policy and NHS systems and practice. You will also be working on policy to increase access to innovative respiratory treatments You will also stay abreast of political developments and health policy changes to identify opportunities for the Taskforce to influence.

You will be a proactive self-starter, with excellent communication skills. You will be able to effectively manage a varied workload with multiple deadlines and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
