Job Title: Supporter and Office Manager

Job Details

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing our supporters and donor services, keeping supporters and donors informed about their sponsored children and/or funded projects. Working alongside the UK Director, they will help to develop connections and opportunities and be involved in the overall strategic development of the charity. They will need to be a self-starter, well organised, able to manage their own workload and drive forward the work in close team working with the Director.

Key Responsibilities
Supporter /Donor Management:
• To be the first point of contact for all enquiries and interest in the work of the charity,
specifically about how to support the charity, sponsoring a child or children and or
donating to the work of the charity. To deal with such enquires enthusiastically,
sympathetically, and efficiently.
• To communicate appropriately and respond to verbal or written enquiries from
supporters, potential supporters, partners in Africa and other stakeholders in the UK
and abroad.
• To liaise with our partners overseas in Africa as required. To obtain information from
them that is required to provide periodical and regular updates to donors and child
sponsors about their supported children and /or projects.
• To support the development of the ACT alumni network overseas.
• To manage and update the charity CRM database – A key tool for the position holder.


Administration & Volunteer Management:
• To manage existing processes, policies and procedures and upgrade or initiate new
ones for the efficient running of the office.
• To update and manage records, correspondence, and documentation, and maintain
secure electronic operations filing system on Google platform
• To manage volunteers, interns and placement students’ recruitment and provide
induction and support.
• To support the charity’s communications and social media strategy.
• To support fundraising events.
• To maintain friendly working environment and ensure that the health and safety of
staff in the office meet statutory requirements.
