Working For: Alzheimer's Society
Location: Home based
Salary: £45,217 - £50,807 Per Annum plus £3600 London Allowance if applicable
Length of Contract: Up to end of November 2024
Dementia has a devastating impact on individuals, their families and society, at a cost of £34.7bn a year. With the help of our Campaigning work, we are going to change that. As the UK’s largest dementia charity, the Alzheimer’s Society has thrown its weight behind achieving the policy change that people living with dementia urgently need. This role is pivotal to making that happen.
You will have a critical role in presenting what the Alzheimer’s Society thinks about issues that impact on people living with dementia in compelling and creative ways. By doing so, your team will mobilise our supporters, persuading politicians and other decision makers to bring about the changes we need to see. We have around 100,000 campaigners on our database, and we have big plans to involve the most engaged people in our work even more.
You will manage a team of National Influencing Officers to help with this, creating compelling ways to convince decision-makers of the need for action. You will build close collaborative relationships with colleagues across the society, and the wider voluntary sector to make sure that we are well-informed and in the best position to influence.
Closing Date: 8 October 2023
